James Franco checks into the hospital, General Hospital

Posted on 03 Oct 2009 at 9:10pm

Method actor James Franco is adding yet another notch under his belt. After the success of Pineapple express and Milk, the actor makes another stop on the small screen. His destination, General Hospital.

The actor apparently was the one who inquired the producers of the show about a role for him. Executive producer Jill Farren Phelps tells SoapNet.com, “It’s an honor that an actor of James’ caliber would choose to spend some of his valuable time in Port Charles”. What kind of character will he play you ask, “The only thing I can tell you about his character right now is he is playing a mysterious person who comes to Port Charles who will be Jason Morgan’s worst nightmare,” ABC Daytime spokeswoman Jori Petersen says Franco’s storyline will last a few months.

Rihanna: Paris Fashion Week

Pop star Rihanna sat front row with her mini-entourage at the Belgain label Maison Martin Margiela’s fashion show during Paris Fashion Week yesterday. The singer/model dressed to kill throughout the event so far, sporting everything from a retro-chic cut-outs jacket, to a sexy sheer black mini, Rihanna always does what she wears justice. Most impressive was her hairstyle, she dazzled wearing an almost modern day Marilyn Monroe coif.

Seth Green, New Fox animation project.

Posted on 03 Oct 2009 at 5:23pm

20th Century Fox TV and Chernin Entertainment gave the ‘green’  light on a new Seth Green animated project. The actor told Hollywood Reporter “It will have an aesthetic familiar to viewers of Fox’s popular animated comedies”. Does that mean we can expect a ‘Family-Guy-esque’ style of animation sprinkled with a ‘Robot Chicken’ sense of humor?

The premise will be along the lines of: average family-  high school-suburbs-  and it will have a wide variety of characters.  It already sounds like we’ve already seen this before… many times before, but who knows this might turn out good. Unlike Robot Chicken and Titan Maximum, this project will not be stop-motion animation.

With an upcoming LP, a new movie along side none other than Cher,  the soulful songstress is due to appear as a guest judge on Lifetime’s Project Runway. The episode is airing on October 15th.

Aguilera has a lot going for her right now. Her acting debut is along side the legend, Cher herself. In the contemporary musical film  entitled “Burlesque”, Aguilera aptly plays the role of a girl from Iowa who has big dreams, as she tries to overcome a troublesome past starts performing at the neo-burlesque club. Production of the film begins this fall, directed by Steve Antan.

Her new LP, though still untitled, is complete. Her first album since 2006, and her fourth studio album wont be released until next year, it will feature , M.I.A., Flo Rida, Le Tigre and more. Aguilera is known for her versatility, passion for music , her amazing live shows, and with a cast of talented producers at her side this album is bound to be her ‘breakthrough’ album.

WOW Moment: “I Gotta Feeling” on Oprah

Posted on 03 Oct 2009 at 9:14am

Out of all the live performances I have ever seen, this one has to be in the Top 5. The Black Eyed Peas gave a great performance to the audience of the Oprah Show. Even Oprah did not seem to be prepared to be WOW’d by the magnitude of creativity that was shown. The hit single “I Gotta Feeling” has been on Billboards Hot 100 for the last 16 weeks currently at #1 on the charts.
