The legendary rapper Guru of the iconic group Gangstarr has passed away today from his battle with cancer. In the recent months there has been much tension and debate in the hip hop community over his alleged decision not to speak to his family while on his death bed. While the debate pointed to an unusual character in it all Solar his supposed business manager, all this is done now that the death of another great has occurred.

Wale finally releases the video for his song “Pretty Girls”, it was WACK…it looks like something an amateur could of done. To have such a huge machine behind you and release a poorly done video is not acceptable.
BUT, there’s always a but…Wale made up for it with the video release of his iTunes exclusive song “My Sweetie”. For an exclusive song this video is dope..

Pharrell gave a keynote speech at Midem with co-CEO of Cornerstone, Rob Stone. The interview praised Pharell on being Billboard’s Producer of the decade, a title that was given to Quincy Jones in the 80′s and Dr. Dre in the 90′s. Then it got into how Mr.Skateboard P makes money outside of the music industry and what it takes to maintain his status as a great producer.
ALRIGHT…so I attended “THE LAST SEED” event at the SEED GALLERY the other night in Newark, NJ and had a blast. So many upcoming artists had their work on display. Great to know that there is a venue and a market for them to present their work to the public. So the first two floors were mainly art on canvas and networking. I got so lost in the art I forgot to network but there will be other events for that.
So now let’s get to the music. Now from the jump let me say this I didn’t really like all the artists that performed but who am I to judge someone elses stuff..But the selection of artists were very diverse which is a big plus. It wasnt all rap, there were some acoustic quitar players, club music. Great mix of all different type of people in the SEED Gallery.
UNFORTUANTELY THE SEED GALLERY IS CLOSING ITS DOORS. WILL BE MISSED.

Keyshia Cole clears up all the rumors and explains why she doesn’t a ssociate herself with her family at the moment. She also speaks on her pregnancy and future marital plans.
To all my friends and fans – It’s time that I clear the air. It’s not a secret that I haven’t been in contact with my mother Frankie, and my sisters Neffe and Elite and I never wanted to air out our differences to the public. While I won’t go into detail here I find it necessary to let you guys know I decided to stop communication with them because I was at a point in my life where I needed serenity and peace to move forward. Please know I love my family very much but it was time to let it go. You guys are a witness to a lot of what was happening from watching on air and online. Now that I am becoming a mom my passion for having a loving and peaceful home for my child is my #1 priority. It’s very important to both Daniel and I. My plate is very full; I have a new baby coming, we are planning our wedding and I am working in the studio on a new album that I am close to completing. The stress that my family is giving me with their constant false reports is not healthy and it’s not what I need at this time in my life. Please understand that there are only a few people that can officially confirm or deny anything that’s happening in my life and that’s me, Daniel, and my publicist, Tresa Sanders. And my girl Monica never lies.
Love Your Girl,
KC
