In response to the devastating 7.0 earthquake that hit Haiti earlier this week, many foundations have created simple ways to make a donation to the relief effort via the tech we love. With tech access at your fingertips, you have many different options for making a quick donation toward earthquake relief in Haiti.
Unconvinced that giving is the way to go? See the collateral damage yourself by viewing Google Earth’s before-and-after photos of Port-au-Prince.
For a much better use of your unlimited text messages than voting for your faves on American Idol, send a donation instead. Mobile donations provider mGive has teamed up with the American Red Cross and the U.S. State Department to launch a text-message campaign aimed at generating donations. To participate, simply text the word “Haiti” to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross. Your cell phone bill will be directly charged the $10 donation amount.
Musician Wyclef Jean’s grassroots organization Yéle Haiti has initiated a similar text-message campaign: Text “YELE” to 501501 to contribute $5 toward food distribution and emergency relief mobilization. Like a donation under the Red Cross program, a donation through Yéle Haiti will be charged directly to your cell phone bill.

Want an Iphone but hate At&t. Well you might just get lucky. Reports are saying that At&t Iphone contract is reportedly scheduled to end June 2010, and the Iphone could be available to mutiple carriers.
AT&T holds the exclusive contract for selling the iPhone in the U.S. until 2010, and some industry observers have speculated that Apple would strike a deal with Verizon Wireless, the nation’s largest carrier, if Apple can get its phone compatible with Verizon’s network.
Since Verizon’s current network doesn’t support the iPhone, Apple would either need to wait until Verizon completes its transition to 4G, by way of its Long-Term Evolution (LTE) technology — a process that could take several years — or it could redesign the iPhone to work on Verizon Wireless’ existing infrastructure.

So for all you Apple lovers out there. Apple has finally completely redesigned a better in every way new Macbook. A mere 1.08 inches thin and even lighter at 4.7 pounds, the sleek new MacBook cuts a slim profile on any desk (or in any backpack or briefcase). It features a new seamless, more durable unibody enclosure with rounded contours that make it easy to pick up and slide into and out of your bag. Also budget friendly at a price of $999. Will definitely make a great Christmas present for a loved one.
Enjoy!
Launched last Thrusday, The PSPgo is the latest addition to Sony’s hardware family (the fourth generation PSP), but how much better is the PSPgo than its predecessor? From the looks of it, not that much better.
The design: size matters!
lets take a closer look at the newly redesigned PSP.
Its sleek, its small, its shiny… and the buttons are uncomfortably too close or too small or too soft.
the PSPgo boasts a 3.8-in screen, compared to the original’s 4.3-in. Albeit smaller, the screen is still the same resolution 480×272.
