Envision the FINISH LINE

Envision the FINISH LINE

Posted on 24 Jan 2011 at 11:00am

I am a big believer that envisioning a goal will solidify a win. That is one reason why I am not big on taking photos of things I have done throughout my life. Because I feel as if it is an anchor that I will be slowed down by. To many this may be over exaggerating but this is how my mind operates. I do keep photos around for documenting purposes but otherwise to me they are futile. What I do, do is take photos of things and items that I want to surround myself with. These material things will not define me but will be the fruit of my labor so to speak. To achieve these material goods, financially, socially, and mentally I would have to improve. These are articles of SUCCESS not items to be a braggart.  Most importantly envision where you want to be in one week, 6, months, 1 year, 5 years and so on. We must plan and execute to achieve success. Success is not related to nor does it derive from being lucky. Success is the outcome of meticulous planning, growth, and execution.  So the big word for today is ENVISION because it may will lead to your END VISION.

What happens when innovators get tired with the current concepts, they go out and make some either something spectacular or along the same means as others. But this design firm MNML has gone out and made a phenomenoal item that has generated much interest. It is a watch kit that  uses the iPod nano as a screen, which really makes ur wrist a techonological timepiece with many other functions.

Visionary Barons LAUNCHES!!!

Posted on 23 Jan 2011 at 8:21pm

This world challenges us every millisecond of the day to conform to our surroundings. Whether it is beneficial or detrimental our surroundings are meant to dictate our future. When a figure begins to defy those pressures they are seen at first as rebels but over time to the next generation they are beloved as VISIONARIES. This blog is here to serve as a vessel to praise these rebels now as future VISIONARY BARONS in their own right.

Haiti Earthquake Provokes Wave of Text Donations

Haiti Earthquake Provokes Wave of Text Donations

Posted on 15 Jan 2010 at 1:22pm

Text donations have hit prime time. In the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that hit Haiti on the evening of Jan. 12, Americans were texting their support big-time. In less than 48 hours, donations to the American Red Cross—made by texting HAITI to 90999—had reached $5 million, and donations were reported to be coming in at a rate of $200,000 per hour. That’s more than 12 times the amount that donors had sent by text in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

Each HAITI text provides $10 to the organization. The charge is added to the donor’s phone bill.

With money still pouring in—and without even accounting for additional funds texted through campaigns by Yéle, Haitian-born musician Wyclef Jean’s foundation (text YELE to 501501); Doctors Without Borders (DOB to 90999); the Clinton Foundation’s Haiti Relief Fund (HAITI to 20222); and others—those mobile donations had already surpassed texted monies for all causes in all of 2009. Among the likely reasons for the outpouring is the near-ubiquity of text-capable phones and the expansive social networks that have allowed the donation campaign to go viral.

“It is the perfect tool for the Twitter generation,” says Lucy Bernholz, president of Blueprint Research & Design, a consulting firm for philanthropic institutions and individuals. After all, text is just about instantaneous and the amount you’re sending, typically $5 or $10, is minimal. “The outpouring of support is great, but people lose interest really quickly,” Bernholz adds. “There is a question of whether this text exacerbates that—that you give your 10 bucks and move on.”

Total Effect Unclear

It’s unclear yet whether the text campaigns will succeed in raising more money overall for Haitian relief efforts by convincing the younger generation to give, or whether the phenomenon represents a shift in the way people give, rather than an expansion of generosity. Another open question is whether individuals who have access to corporate matching contributions—thus doubling the impact of individual donations—will bother to do so with the text donations. (Some corporate matching funds won’t match donations under a certain amount.) “We don’t have benchmarks for this yet,” says Katherina Rosqueta, executive director of the Center for High Impact Philanthropy at the University of Pennsylvania. “The power is in the scale.”

For those who want to donate to Haiti, the bigger question is not whether to do so by text, online, or phone, but where to give so that your money can do the most good. In a catastrophic situation such as this, Rosqueta notes, the groups that can do the most good are those that can respond immediately, that are already on the ground or can get there quickly, and that have experience in disaster relief.

Lloyd Banks’ attorney Patrick Ducharme, told MTV that his client is expected to be released from an Ontario jail tomorrow morning on $50,000 bail. The Boy Wonder has been detained since Friday after allegedly assaulting and robbery, local promoter Chris Hines inside a hotel room. Michael Jackson “This Is It”

Posted on 13 Oct 2009 at 9:06am

Before Michael Jackson left this Earth he left behind music that will last forever as his last gifts to this world. No matter how odd his appearance, lifestyles, and mannerisms may have been NO ONE can DENY that his music will last the test of time. The new single “This Is It” will most likely be  the closing chapter on a fairytale of a man who just wanted to be a boy innocent and free to live life.  The songs features backup vocals from his brothers. The song was actually produced around the same time period as “Thriller”. The “This Is It” movie will be released on October 28, 2009 and will only be in theaters for 2 weeks.

Miley Cyrus “Party in the USA”

Posted on 08 Oct 2009 at 8:16am

Miley Cyrus the 16 year old daughter of  Billy Ray Cyrus the Country Music superstar, is also the main character of her own hit TV series Hannah Montana, and is a bonafide Pop Icon with another hit single with “Party in the USA”. Those are a lot of titles to live up to  but she does it with such ease that no one seems to even remember she is only 16. She has a hardcore fan base that pledge their allegiance to her, and are by her side every step of the way. Did I almost forget to say that she also even has her own clothing line at Wal-Mart with is a collaboration with Max Azira? Miley is riding her wave of success until the very end and hopefully she continues to make good music.

Did Micheal Jackson Forseshadow Own Death?

Did Micheal Jackson Forseshadow Own Death?

Did Michael Jackson foreshadow his own tragic death? Lyrics form MJ’s 1997 song tittled Morphine from the album Blood on the Dance Floor allows us a glimpse into his innermost demons and personal turmoil..

In this erie, almost haunting song that starts with the words (He got flat baby, Kick in the back baby, A heart attack baby) Jackson seems to predict his untimely death by cardiac related complications. The melody is set to a violent cadence and is accompanied by plenty of swearing and disturbing declarations about hating his race, friction with his dad, and even more shocking, about the fact that he was taking Morphine and Demerol.

“Morphine”

The chorus, which  Jackson chants in a shaky, regretful voice, “demerol oh god he is taking Demerol” changes in to a more sorrowful melody that seems to portray Jackson’s remorse about his addiction to these dangerous substances and reflects the anticipatory grief  about what he knew would someday be his demise.

Perhaps, this song was written by Michael as an unsuccessful, last attempt to get help.

He was later concvicted on June 01, 2001 and was sentenced to  10 years in prison. While in prison he dropped his album Godfather Buried Alive in 2004 on Def Jam.  This is a great day for Hip-Hop because a fallen soldier is coming home.
